People with Special Needs
Here I use a special method developed by G. Prouty (California), on a person-centered basis, called pre-therapy.
By means of contact reflection we succeed in starting a “conversation” with the client on a pre-language basis.
These reflections enable therapeutic access to people who up to now have been labelled “resistant to therapy”, such as people who have been hospitalised for years, chronic psychiatry patients, or people with severe mental disabilities as well as autistic people.
Pre-therapy helps the clients to make contact, step by step: to reality, to themselves, to others.
